A couple of weeks ago, Mum I were in Bradford on Avon town centre as we had seen a few pubs advertised in a local magazine. One pub was overly busy, so we decided to check this one out when we found out they were still serving food mid afternoon. It is a family/dog friendly pub at the end of a small residential area. It was actually quiet in the pub I just assumed it was because it was late in the day. We later found out there was a large party gathering on the other side of the pub. After a busy couple of weeks we just needed to stop and recharge so treated ourselves to a nice lunch. The pub itself is welcoming and warm and was quite busy but that didn’t stop the service being great. We both had the garlic mushrooms to start and they were fantastic a real naughty treat with that rich creamy garlic sauce. For mains I had the pie which was packed full of meat (turkey and bacon) in an onion gravy served with chunky chips and seasonal veg that could not have tasted fresher. Also with a side of gravy. We celebrated my partner's 60th birthday at this restaurant and everything was fantastic - from the staff to the room and the delicious buffet. We returned for Sunday lunch and it was equally amazing! We started off with Scotch Eggs and then had Roast Beef, with the cauliflower cheese standing out as a highlight - it should definitely be offered as a stand-alone dish on the menu! I highly recommend this place.
The waiting staff were rushed off their feet and some of them were very inexperienced but our Sunday lunch was good when we finally got it. Two of our party were coeliac and were told that they couldn't have gluten free gravy with their gluten free roast!! We insisted and finally got something resembling gravy. The head waitress went out of her way to be helpful and we ended up enjoying our visit.

This is a fantastic dog-friendly pub where my family of six enjoyed a wonderful meal. The welcome was warm and inviting, with fires lit to create a cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious and honest, some of the best pub fare we've had in a long time. There were plenty of gluten-free options available, and the desserts were heavenly. Overall, this pub is excellent and definitely worth a visit.
Called by the Dog Fox for dinner as we were in the area, and had a good meal. It was noisy in there and the food was adequate but not exciting, however a good time was had and it was a useful 'watering hole '.
The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, but the food and beer were delicious, and the service was great. The menu may be simple, but it is good quality and worth the price.
This pub is off the beaten track, meaning it isn't too busy. It serves high quality food, is dog friendly and has a lovely log burner. Friendly staff with a lovely rustic atmosphere
