A fantastic, cosy pub with a lovely atmosphere. We visited for a drink as it was my other half's birthday. Children came along too. Lovely Bass beer on cask! No less than three fire places to keep warm and snug. The bar staff were friendly and attentive. It got really busy towards 18:30 ish and the atmosphere was lovely. Every table also got home cooked delicious chips, for free! Will definitely visit again.

We turned up without a booking on the first Sunday back open. The staff were really accommodating finding us a table for an hours time. It was worth the wait. Lovely little pub with roaring log fires and a cosy feel. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the quantity and quality. Even better, the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly.

Food was absolutely fantastic. Service was brilliant I think the waiter was called Riley he was very polite and couldn't do enough. The owners were also great. Thanks for making us welcome 5star.

I've not yet tried the food here yet, but called in for a beer. Very friendly staff, superb beers, lovely historic pub with relaxing beer garden.

Great place to watch a band on a Sunday afternoon. Great beer. Friendly and welcoming too.
