A fantastically friendly pub with delicious home cooked food. Our party of eight had the pleasure of eating Sunday lunch here today. We all opted for the roast a mix of pork, lamb and beef all cooked to perfection. The roasted potatoes and parsnips superbly crisp, the crunchiness crackling and an abundance of tasty veg, including a creamy cauliflower cheese. The menu welcomed customers to order extra potatoes, vegetables and gravy if required, however the portions were extremely generous, and even the fatties amongst us could even sniff at another spud. My husband, me and a disabled friend of mine visited this friendly and relaxing pub yesterday we all had the trio of roasts each one absolutely perfectly cooked, wish my crackling was as good as the Chef's! This is now the 3rd time we've had the roasts and all have been consistently fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful and made a fuss of our dog too, nothing is too much trouble definitely highly recommend this pub, a double bonus too is for us it is walking distance so we can sample the extensive but not overwhelming wine list and for my hubby the same with the selection of beer. We have eaten here a few times now and always receive the same reception from the staff.

Wanted to take the time to review and say thank you for a brilliant Sunday Pub Lunch. Brilliant service from booking on the phone, to a friendly thank you on the way out. Plus the visit from the chef after lunch was a nice touch that you don 't get at very many places. The food was great, I went along with two gluten intolerant eaters, and your allergen menu was fantastic and much more varied than they 're used to! Also really well laid out! The extra effort had not gone unnoticed. Also the Ice Cream Brownie Slice was amazing! Thank you!

Booked a table for 20 to celebrate a 21st Birthday today. The staff at the D P didn't let us down. Amazing service, hot food, fabulous size portions and attention to detail. We all ate together, minimal waiting for all meals to be served. Pleasant staff, excellent value for money and a perfect dining experience. Well done Dog and Partridge Reserva una mesa ahora

There with friends for a girlie Sunday lunch. Food was lovely, ample portions. Service great, staff friendly and helpful. Air conditioning (thank goodness! . Clean and roomy eating area. Prices good. Good job I don't live nearer, I'd be there every day! Highly recommended.

We have always been reluctant to eat a roast dinner out, as we enjoy our own cooking. However, after a busy Saturday of cooking, we decided to book a Sunday lunch. Wow!! We loved our meal and cannot recommend the D&P Sunday lunch enough. Thank you xx

Lovely food and choice of drinks. From dinner before the Monday night quiz to a full Sunday roast. Always a warm welcome and great to have the option of bringing our black lab along too.
