The chef truly knows their craft. Dining here is worth every penny spent. The ale is fresh and delightful. The ambiance of the 17th-century wooden room is stunning, and the cozy fires make it even more inviting. I could have easily stayed all day. I recommend booking an early lunch on the weekend, as we did—you won't be disappointed! Plus, they even treat your dog to a tasty snack.

The restaurant has a very nice and cozy ambiance, with comfortable seating for dining. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is helpful and attentive. While the roast beef was slightly overcooked, the overall quality of the food was excellent. Food rating: 4, Service rating: 5, Atmosphere rating: 5. I would recommend trying the Fish and Chips and the Sunday Roast.

Lovely, friendly staff and really nice traditional pub inside. I had the chicken, ham and leek pie which was delicious along with maple glazed carrots which were really tasty. Would definitely recommend eating here. I went on Wednesday lunch time and the pub was really quiet Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
