The Donut Experiment

I have been to this shop several time in the past few years. I can be very busy at times March break you could have a half hour wait while they prepare you treats. Time for a coffee and chat with the people waiting for there treats. I have had pleasant conversations with people from France, Great Britain, fellow Canadians and locals. It certainly helps pass the time air conditioning inside and a few tables on the shaded porch with ceiling fans to keep the air moving on hot days. There is limited parking but just across the quite street there is extra park on city property. The doughnuts have a large selection of topping fruit to nuts sprinkles to bacon. This place is amazing! First of all, big shout out to the girls working the donut line. We were there both Saturday and Sunday morning and they were packed both days. Those girls were hustling back and forth making hundreds of donuts in the time we were there waiting, and did an excellent job of working under stress. As far as the donuts go, they were absolutely delicious. Freshly fried cake donuts pop out of the machine at the back. As soon as they're made, they are dipped in your choice of dip (chocolate, vanilla, glaze, etc) and then dipped in your choice of topping (sprinkles, crushed candy like m&ms, coconut, etc) and then drizzled with your choice of finish (peanut butter, raspberry, e...

We came in this morning, well worth going here! It was very busy but worth it. Great experience watching them make them and such. My kids loved watching them put orders together. I also heard a couple of other random kids say while watching the staff work on putting donut orders together- that they want to work there once there old enough. And taste so good. So many to choose from. I had the bacon donut. SOOO good. All donuts were freshly made right on the spot, nice warm and fluffy inside with a nice crust on the outside. I recommend stopping here if you're in the area!

My favorite donuts. Fresh made donuts and you get to choose toppings that you want. I’m not a big toppings person so I get cinnamon n sugar. They are the best. Sometimes can be really busy and it’s a small shop but even when it’s slammed busy they get the donuts out fast. I recommend this place to anyone who loves donuts

You don't even mind waiting because it's fun to watch the whole process! The staff work around each other and together like a fine tuned machine and it's entertaining to watch. Plus, the donuts are fresh, warm and delicious when they get handed over to you! Thank you for a great morning on the island Donut Experiment!!!
