Buyer beware The owner is a coward. Went to dinner for the 1st time tonight at Doughfather, with my wife and 2 friends . When we received our bill we noticed that we were charged 30% more then what was on the menu. When we brought this to the attention of the hostess she apologized and went into the kitchen to tell the owner. The owners wife told the hostess to tell us that the menus were 5 years old and they did not have time to print the new menus. We asked to speak to the owner but were told he was to busy to come out and speak with us. Had High Hopes when this place first opened and ordered a pie back then and it was burnt on the bottom. Not charred like a good coal or wood Fired Pizza but just burnt. Never ordered from them again until last night. This time it wasn't burnt but was just a sloppy mess and even slightly underdone. They like to claim that they are from Brooklyn and make a Brooklyn style pizza but this ain't anywhere close to a Brooklyn style pizza. This time instead of being burnt it was underdone and it was expensive at $21. Called an order in at 5:30, was told 20 minutes. Arrived a few minutes before 6 and was told just a few more minutes. Waited another 10, and the lady at the front asks the cook if the pizza is in the oven. Nope he shrugs and starts making the pizza. Wait another 25 minutes, and one dismissive apology later and finally got my pizza. Also asks me to pay when I already paid over the phone. Again she just shrugged. Got home wrong toppings, of course! Overall, doesn't seem like anyone knows what they are doing, was super excited to try this place but the other reviews are right, terrible customer service and pizza is mediocre. Not worth it at all. Such a disappointment.
Great local pizza place! I've done both takeout and delivery several times now. Everything has been correct and consistent each time. I really like their website for online ordering everything is fully customizable. Our all time favorites that we keep going back to is to order the Stilwell upside down pie and modify it with fresh mozzarella and vodka sauce. Our other go to is their bruschetta pizza modified with grilled chicken and fresh mozzarella. Both are really outstanding. The staff has always been friendly. I'm keeping this place in my regular rotation.

I wish I could give this place four and a half stars. The real highlights for us are the pastas: Carbonara, Arrabiata, and Bolognese. We prefer to pick up our food instead of having it delivered. We tried the pizza once and it was good, but since it’s far from home, it didn't stay as hot as the pasta dishes. We'll stick with Brothers Mancini for pizza. Other than that, we’ll continue to order our favorites!
I drive to customers houses all over Middlesex Monmouth County... I've grabbed a Slice everywhere.... Few places are worth going back to.... The Doughfather... is worth the Trip... Great Food, Great Staff and if your lucky... you might get entertained by the staff... they could easily have called called this Joint GOODFELLA's Pizza Well done boys.....
A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend and I decided to order a pizza. I was really looking forward to enjoying a freshly made pie with sausage and pepperoni. It was around 5:30 on a Monday evening, and you can only imagine our disappointment when it arrived.
The food here is fantastic! The pizza is delicious, and the service is consistently excellent. I really enjoy the new location; it's lovely.

Good gluten free pizza!!! They even clean out the oven before they make it for you. Staff is super kind, haven't had a bad experience!
Exceptional pizza. Wonderful service, extremely friendly. The food is consistently delicious and delivers very well.
