The Henry County spotlight restaurant of the day is The Dutch Pot Caribbean Restaurant. located in the Kroger Plaza, 1736 Hudson Bridge Road, Stockbridge. The food, upbeat atmosphere, and the service are excellent. During my visit, I had the opportunity to chat with owners, Michael and Latoya Howard, and several of the guests. My first question was how could this hidden gem of a restaurant, have been open for 2 months without me hearing about it. It's located 1 mile from my house. My husband and I visited the Dutch pot for the first time last Sunday. I am very picky when it comes to eating Jamaican food in restaurants that I am not familiar with, because there are so many non-authentic 'caribbe' restaurants that mix dishes from all countries and call it Jamaican food. So I'm always hesitant unless I get a recommendation from a Jamaican I can trust... I'll tell you this place is authentic. Had the ginger glazed salmon with peas and rice, green beans and candy Yams and my friend had ox beans and rice with Mac and cheese we also shared a chicken pattie everything was perfect prices very affordable cooked and the service was great I definitely return and recommend to my friends

The chicken is grilled to perfection and peas and rice was just right. The oxen were tender and had great taste. I just couldn't stop eating even though I was full. Great service, clean atmosphere and large portion size. I will visit this place in the near future.
