The Eagle And Child

This pub is known because the inklings (Tolkien, CS Lewis and GK Chesterton) meet here and organize their weekly writing work. It's about 10 minutes walk from campus, easy. As a pub, there are many tables and we had no problems sitting. This is a Nicholsons pub, so if you like their usual fare, you will like the food here. You also have a special cake menu. The lentil and sweet potato cakes were fantastic!
