We have eaten here a few times before and we always found the food to be excellent. Last night we took friends of ours and surprisingly the restaurant was very crowded which I was happy to see. Unfortunately we had 2 issues . One major issue was the noice level as there was live entertainment by the bar which actually was pretty good. Unfortunately it was extremely difficult carrying on a conversation with our friends at the table. Very upsetting as I never had this problem before. Previous visits here the environment was relaxed and quiet. The second issue was the time it took to bring out the entrees. Decided to brave the wind and rain for another awesome meal! Stuck with all the specials tonight because.. why not??? We had WuTang Clams and Lobster Tacos....both delicious and a nice change from the usual. Entree specials were excellent...we ordered Pork Osso Bucco and Crab Stuffed Flounder. The pork came with garlic mashed that were perfectly garlicky...not too much, but a definite presence of flavor, and the coconut rice that came with the flounder was a fresh, subtle coconut that was a really nice change from the usual rice options. It was our first visit, and overall, we were quite disappointed. I ordered a Bloody Mary cocktail, but they don't serve it—seriously. Instead, they offered a $17 novelty drink. The food was just average, although the service was good. However, I found the prices to be excessively high for the area. I would expect to spend over $200 at a well-rated restaurant in NYC, not in the quiet town of Jackson, NJ. If the food had been exceptional, it might have been more justifiable, but unfortunately, it wasn't.
The Edge is the best restaurant in Jackson in fact, it is the only nice restaurant in Jackson! The food is great, the servers are excellent and the restaurant itself is very classy looking. There is just one slight problem. The restaurant is very loud! And if you go when there is live music on the weekend, forget about hearing your tablemates. The staff will gladly see you in one of the quieter areas but hearing can be a challenge nonetheless. That said, The Edge is a terrific place.

We had a wonderful dinner on a Sunday night, complete with live music, which was a delightful addition. The French onion soup was absolutely delicious. One member of our group particularly loved the calamari, and the braised short rib dish received high praise as well. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a great experience!
Overall, a good experience, as usual. Service was attentive and appetizers and meals delivered in a timely manner. Everything was piping hot! One small issue was with the Edge Pasta. It was spicy, as promised, but seemed to be lacking any salt and was also missing some kind of dressing/sauce to pull it together. The Wedge Salad and Brussells Sprouts were outstanding.
Our server was attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious and definitely worth the price. We started with the fig jam flatbread appetizer, followed by the Edge pasta and the cowboy steak, which was accompanied by sweet and hot peppers. Each dish was exceptional. We will certainly be returning soon!
Dinner to celebrate a special friends birthday staff worked hard to make it extra special, especially the desert complete with singing and sparklers. Also helped by setting up our balloons and our flowers on the table prior to the guest of honor arriving. Food service wonderful.
