The Elephant Sidcup

So disappointed after spending almost £100. A few of us are feeling poorly after our experience. There were lots of dishes which were not available. There was no beer on draught. There was a v. limited bottled beer selection. They wouldn't offer us a mild version and they said they didnt have yoghurt but we noticed there was raita. The toilets were not available to customers and we were sent to a different premises next door. The food was poor in taste and quality. The table and plates were not clean. Overall a v. bad experience. Only wish we had seen the reviews on TripAdvisor before booking. Have been here before a couple of years ago when it was new and it was a much better experience.

Love the food here. The staff are lovely and friendly but our experience (two visits) has been that by the time you’ve had your main meal they’re less attentive and it’s difficult to get their attention. We’ve actually left the restaurant with our plates and bowls still on the table. Having said that, the food is excellent so, for a relaxed dining experience, we’d still go back.

Great atmosphere and good drinks menu. Staff friendly but a little lacking in menu knowledge. Menu text was so small it wasn’t readable. I like spicy food but found my starter excessively spicy with no warning on the menu.

Was lovely food, but the toilets were out of order so had to go into next door restaurant to use the facilities.

Lovely tasty food recommended by the lovely waitress, we were not disappointed!
