The Evenlode - Reservar una mesa

The restaurant used to provide a good selection of nice food that justified the slightly higher pricing than most places, however when I visited this evening for a family meal I was appalled by the portion sizes and quality of said food for the price we paid. On top of that, ten minutes after leaving the establishment my son started to be violently sick (suspected to be from the children's menu beef burger that he age half of and told us it tasted yucky, on a side note we also paid extra for him to have cheese on said burger which we never received but still got billed for I paid for a few pieces of garlic bread and the smallest dish of lasagne I've ever paid for and didn't eat it all as it was fairly obvious that it had been sat in a bowl all day long waiting to just be heated up in a microwave. Whilst there I had two pints both of which were barely chilled and had next to no gas in it meaning that just a few sips into each pint, the remainder had gone flat.

I was here for a family lunch of approx 12 people. The food was excellent. I've never seen such large portions. Every mouthful was delicious. The staff bent over backwards to provide seamless service. If I lived closer I'd have Sunday lunch here frequently. Service: 5 Location: 5

Nice big car park,could have problems getting back on A40. Good place to eat with family and friends. Staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyable Sunday lunch, thank you Service: 4 Location: 4

Went for a birthday meal with a group of 12 or so people. Lovely service, food excellent, very impressed. They certainly overdelivered. Service: 5

Lovely roast beef and sticky toffee pudding, but the meat itself was very fatty and stringy. Lovely vegetables and pudding though
