Absolutely fantastic. I came here with my family and inlaws on Sunday. I could not fault the service or the taste of the food. The prices are very good the service was 2nd to none. Being an ex chef I'm a stickler for flavour and portion sizes and wow I'm stunned at how good it was. The only down sides for me where that our table was situated directly next to the carvery so alot of people looking over your shoulder when u eat and not much room due to the amount of people CROWDING around our table. And there could be abit more of a variety ie mashed potatoes, normal peas (especially for the kids) and sausages which I would have happily paid extra for. Had dinner two nights consecutively as was staying in the adjoining hotel. Good, hearty pub food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Would like to give a soecial shout out to Maddy who worked her socks off and was an absolute sweetheart!! She's a little gem and they would do well to hold on to her she's 10/10 and made our evenings!!
Only stopped in to meet friends for a pint as it is quite a drive for me, but the pub is welcoming with a friendly atmosphere and a large range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Next time I will be tempted to have something to eat because the dining room was busy and I'm told the food is good.
we had a nice day here in the farmers arms. they made a wonderful job for my nan and grandads 60th high-time celebration. the buffet was tasty and everyone said how nice it was to eat. the staff was very helpful and the environment was perfect. Many thanks, we would definitely recommend.
