we have booked this as a passing night during the visit of the family for christmas. straight ahead we felt so welcome by the employees and the locals that we decided to book an additional night. the room was nicely clean and modern with all necessary things. eating is delicious and loved the seafood plate. the best thing about this beautiful inn is the personal that everyone engages and goes out for them. it is so nice to find a place with such a happy and accommodating team. we cannot expect to visit again :
We ate there on both nights that we stayed in coxwold the restaurant was busy on both occasions the food was of a good quality the only reason I haven’t given stars is after we had eaten on the first night my wife asked if she could reserve a lamb dish for the next night and they said yes but when we returned next day they only offered her lamb chops
Saturday lunch. Easy to park outside. Proper beer, well kept. Good and varied pub food, plus specials such as seafood platter, fish of the day, lamb 's liver. Well cooked, the star was the chocolate brownie though, best I 've ever tasted from our brownie expert. Service charming and very efficient. A great place in this handsome village.
pours an evening here a few weeks ago and had a really pleasant time. eating was very pleasant, as the selection of drinks. obviously a place that is used by many natives, but not in a way that excludes visitors and that is always a sign of a good pub in my eyes. would appear if I were back.

came for tee to go byland abbey sa outside in the sun! the staff extremely helpful and attentive seafood cellar sharing dish was to begin for dying and extremely fill supreme of huh excellent with super sauce; fish and chips beautiful and plentiful no place to pudding! fantastic place to eat
Stayed here for a night when we were booked into the nearby Black Swan. It's a lovely pub, the staff and owners made us very welcome, and the room and breakfast were excellent. Look forward to returning with our dog next time and sampling their menu which looked excellent.
Love it, rooms very nice, staff very helpful and friendly. Food very good and reasonable priced. A very good range of beers, which include a favourite of mine, Timothy Taylor's, Landlord. A very refreshing pint, On a hot day
this is such a jewel of an orte! really picturesque with absolutely fantastic eating. we were two nights and had a really relaxing and beautiful stay. the workers do everything to serve them well. wonderful!

Lovely Sunday lunch, also catered for gluten free no problem. Relaxed atmosphere with lots of different rooms and candles in the tables. Great service and welcoming atmosphere, will definitely go again!
