The Fighting Cocks Pub and Riverside Restaurant

Very disappointed. Have been here many times and have always enjoyed it. The menu has changed and unfortunately not for the better. The lovely menu has gone along with the specials board. Menu used to include dishes such as sea bass and salmon along with classical dishes such as sausages and mash and liver and bacon. It has now been replaced with scampi and chips,pizzas and burgers. Not the lovely traditional pub that it once was. Unfortunately no longer for us.

Lovely, lovely place. Good old fashioned pub at the front then opens to a beautiful conservatory overlooking lovely gardens. The food was a wonderful surprise high end quality but not high end prices. I have never seen Yorkshire puddings in my life like that! Staff were warm and friendly and efficient not something you always get nowadays! Am booking my return trip very soon.

I booked a last minute table for my husbands birthday after our plans changed. The staff were great and managed to surprise him with a candle and a song! The food was delicious and the kids menu was lovely too. The surroundings are lovely and the kids enjoyed the play area. We have been to the fighting cocks numerous times and have never been disappointed. Thanks

came tonight here 1/11/2017 for an evening meal with my friend and his brother. excellent setting for an evening meal beautiful service sophie was very attentive and courteous meal times were amazing lots of eating on the teller, they get definitiw what they pay for here! I hope that I will be revisited by somerset one day.

I am confused with this dress code of no one can wear a west top, also in the garden, and with the heat we had, but it is okay for women is not that a bit sexist please can explain the bottom behind this very strange dress code, as I was never in a pub in my life that thanks to this code

Exceptional venue, great service and the Sunday roast royal feast is exactly that. Amazing portions and more than enough quality food. Really enjoyed our visit and will be returning again. Lovely sized garden and a great play area for children too.

Beautiful old pub and gardens backing on to The river. Fantastic meal had Mrs Mannings pie best pie I've ever tasted, with local fresh veggies. Will definitely return.

had an evening meal there. service first class, everything we asked for us. nothing was too much annoyed. the meal was very good and cheap. will go again.

the worst meal I had ever eaten my appetizer put my knife and fork down and my head was laid before me teller was swimming in blood no longer go

Just got in from an excellent sunday dinner at the pub have booked again great place and food
