The Fish And Anchor Inn

Just stayed here for 2nights. On arrival we had been moved rooms, we had an upgrade to the one bedroom apartment with river views. Stunning room, friendly staff, clean and tidy in all areas. We ate on site both nights, slight delay in getting food but well worth the wait. We had full English breakfast too and great breakfast for £10. Well worth a visit. Food drinks: We had gammon, burger, fish and braised brisket over 2 nights.all superb and bread and butter pudding was to die for. Food was top notch beer good. Got drinks at thr bar and told the young lady serving us that we had booked a table for food. Told to sit at whatever table we wanted but no menus, expecting someone to bring them over. So slight disappointment that we had to go ask for menus for the table after waiting between 5 and 10 mins at the table. Can't judge the rooms as stayed on the campsite behind the pub. Don't know if they are connected but campsite was lovely. Service: 4 Location: 5

I'm veggie. the only main course on the menu that interested me was a dish that I had eaten in our local pub on the eve. so they produced a Mediterranean meal only for me. happy. with a smile. nothing was too much annoyed and it was so good that I would eat it again tomorrow!

Hosted my sons christening after party. OMG never had such amazing buffet food and plenty left over aswell! Abit of confusion about starting time but I still couldn’t say a bad word. Staff were lovely and friendly aswell. Thank you for such a lovely day Reserva una mesa ahora

I called after stressful days. has been a beautiful table in the corner, nice and cozy, very good service eating excellent prices spot on. not the first time I had eaten here and not the last one remains the good work. gill cooper

amazing that my wife was having a trip to the pub for lunch. great menu and brilliant service. I had the ham and eggs and shazza had the steak sandwich

beautiful pint of ale and a huge beautiful roasted dinner with really nice sweet for £12ish pfund. highly recommended!
