The Fishes - Reserva de mesa

This is a lovely restaurant. We were a party of 12 for lunch and preordered from the set menu at £35 per person. Everything was delivered accurately and in a timely manner—no complaints at all! The food was beautifully presented and well-prepared (the chicken was a tad overcooked, but it wasn't a major issue). There was a good selection of wines, beers, and soft drinks. The coffee to finish was excellent, and the attentive service staff was much appreciated, especially the bowl of chips! Thank you for making our family meal a memorable one.

After two years, we were finally able to return to this lovely pub restaurant. Their service and food are still top-notch, just as we remembered. Notably, there's a new staff member who just started yesterday, and I want to give him 5 stars for his exceptional hospitality. I hope to see him again on our next visit. The special fish dish today was incredibly fresh and delicious. Thank you also for the New Year's discount; it's much appreciated. I highly recommend this place for any occasion, even if you're bringing your dog!

We hosted our post wedding Sunday lunch at the Fishes this summer. Communication with the team was excellent by email and phone. On the day, both the food and service was excellent! The team did well to manage our large group booking and created more space for us as we received additional guests to the party. We were very grateful to them for accommodating us all! We enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere and time together it was a highlight for many of our guests. Thank you to all at the Fishes! We’ll be back again!

This is a wonderful hidden gem of a pub located in a quaint village. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to fully appreciate the stunning (and large) garden in the evening, but we definitely plan to return during the day! The service was excellent and attentive, and the food was both delicious and generous in portion size. We stayed in an Airbnb across the road from The Fishes so naturally wanted to check it out during our stay in Oxford. We managed to book a table in the bar on Friday night (restaurant was full) and returned on Sunday afternoon for their Sunday Lunch. Both occasions were a delight. The food was outstanding, the service excellent. The staff really made us feel welcome without being overbearing and nothing was too much trouble.

My favorite audience in Oxford. Very special pub, since this is where my husband proposed me on the bridge over the river on the bottom of this beautiful pubs garden. It is a very romantic environment. There is a teapee in the garden for renting or sitting if not booked. The food is very good, a little expensive. The staff was friendly and very helpful. You have a dedicated gluten-free menu that is great. Very recommended.

They even inquired about my celiac condition before I brought it up.

Lovely relaxed beer garden where dogs are welcomed and the burgers are fantastic. Will be coming back next time we pass by.
