*amended review* change of ownership calls for a new review. Wow. The new owners of this pub are smashing it! We visited for a Sunday roast and were not disappointed. The pub is cosy with great friendly village vibes. They’re dog friendly in all areas of the pub which is brilliant as we’re always after great places to eat where we can take our dog along with us. The food is just amazing they’ve recently changed ownership and even though the food before was hearty and crowd pleasing, the menu now is interesting, delicious and that of a top London restaurant so it’s definitely been a successful change in our opinion! Can’t wait to return.
I had been wanting to try Five Elms for a while and finally went for lunch on a Saturday. This place is a hidden gem, with a great atmosphere in a beautiful country pub. Andrew was very welcoming. We all tried the set lunch menu and the food was amazing. Everything was perfect, from the presentation to the taste. My sea bream was cooked to perfection and the pumpkin veloute with goats cheese starter was excellent. I can't wait to go back.
We were delighted to dine at this restaurant in Aylesbury during our visit. We received a warm welcome at this charming village pub and relaxed with a drink by the cozy log fire in the bar. The dinner was exceptional; every bite was delicious and we even indulged in dessert, a rare treat for us. I cannot praise this place enough, and I only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.
Having recently changed hands, this was our first visit and we can thoroughly recommend the new menu and restaurant. Andrew is a wonderful host and the food was delicious. A really lovely experience. P.S. I can confirm that on my second visit the meal was, if anything, even better!

wonderful small pub with an absolutely beautiful menu that changes regularly. one of the most beautiful meals we ever had and brilliant service also all around. we can't wait to come back when we're in the opposite. perfect for a special occasion, they earn a Michelin star

Wow, what a great place to eat. My wife and sons visited for Mother's Day. Would highly recommend as service and food were fantastic. Puddings were oh so good. David

Delicious and inventive lunch menu. Excellent Caesar salad with chicken. Good ale. Lovely country pub.
