We haven't been here for some years and only living a stones throw away keighley meaning to try it again since it was under new management 7 years or so ago previous food wasn't good so was reluctant to try again. We had wanted to try the causeway inn but couldn't get a table so bit the bullet and opted for here. The welcome was friendly . We both had the Sunday roast beef dinner . Unfortunately it was just average. At least everything was home cooked which was a plus . Yorkshire pudding we're home cooked and not frozen ones but unfortunately we're flat and crunchy over cooked, mash potato was lumpy and didn't look or taste like it had since any butter. It was all edible just but unfortunate...
Called in for lunch The pub was absolutely freezing. Made aware before ordering no steak no bread so no sandwiches. 3 out of 4 meals OK but the fish and chips dreadful. The fish was more than 50% batter.We were made aware that there was no rhubarb crumble so ordered cheese cake. Asked if that was with cream or ice cream. Made a choice only for the poor waiter to have to come back to tell us 'no cheesecake '. Decided against dessert had 2 coffees and paid the bill. Given 4 mint chocolates with 'Old Silent Inn ' on the wrapper. They were obviously out of date from the moted colour of the chocolate. We gad been before before Covid and thoroughly enjoyed it. They were trying to tell a former pub owner that their Peroni wasn’t flat. It was. They then proceeded to serve pints in glasses that were used and had not been run through the dishwasher. Nobody collecting empty glasses so the landlord brought down a cardboard box of extra glasses that were all covered in a dirty film of some kind. When I brought this up, the landlady told me to to shut up or F¥£k off out. Charming hospitality.
Have visited the flapitt before and visited today for tea and thoroughly satisfied. Both of us had burgers, mine was the chilli burger and my partner had the chicken burger. Both came with side salad, large cut chips, and onion rings all homemade. So worthwhile didn't have any room for pudding. Big shout out to the chef Aiden and Katie the bar staff as everything was spot on. Will definitely visit again.

We visited The Flappit today at lunch time. We both ordered the small portion burger with chunky chips and garden peas. It was excellent, the chips were hand made and crispy without being oily and the burger was delicious. Will call in again when we’re passing that way. It was £6.95, very good value.
Very poor experience...we waited 1hr 20mins for food..when it arrived half of what was written on the menu was missing from the plate and what was there was almost cold . Very disappointing...we returned the food and left
Had beef and onion baguette, was gorgeous! It came hot and with extra gravy, couldn't have asked for more, especially for the price ! Definitely will be back :
Wonderful food, the service was brilliant and really friendly staff not too invasive not too stand offy can't fault the place at all

Very welcoming and friendly, lovely little pub will definitely be back. We broke down near by and everyone was very helpful.
