Went as the reviews were amazing, however extremely disappointed! We arrived and decided to sit outside which was lovely, however wasn’t told there would be a 30 minute wait on food when others arrived we could hear the waiter telling them this. We ordered 2 lattes and they were both freezing! We asked for 2 more and for them to be hot! Luckily they were. However, we were still charged for the first 2 cold ones! When food arrived my beans were freezing cold! Sent them back came back slightly warmed. £41 for 4 lattes (personally feel I shouldn’t have had to pay for my 2 cold ones), 1 egg’s benefits and 1 avocado and halloumi on toast. Staff didn’t seem bothered. Very unfriendly and seemed lik...

Today I departed from my usual avocado and smoked salmon, to try the October special, spiced pumpkin French toast, and was not disappointed. Even though I am not a huge fan of pumpkin this was absolutely delicious. The pumpkin purée was sweet and crunchy thanks to the seeds, I don’t know what was in the delicious concoction that topped the French toast but it was awesome. The menu is very different to the usual chain coffee shops, so much choice, and specials change regularly. Prices are reasonable too, usually 2 mains and 2 drinks for well under £30. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the Flower Cup.

I believe that the café has a nice interior and friendly staff, but the food is overpriced and not worth it in my opinion. I ordered an apple crumble that was between £11 and £12, but it was not great. After trying a bit, I realized I did not enjoy it. I saw that the café had offered to make amends for a previous complaint, but I was not offered anything when I expressed my dissatisfaction. I have been to the Jaunty Goat in Chester, and their food and customer service are much better in comparison.

I absolutely adore having brunch at the Flower Cup in Chester. Every dish I've tried there has been delicious, nutritious, affordable, and of excellent quality. My top picks are the smoked salmon and avocado on granary toast, and the blueberry pancakes. The coffee is superb, hands down the best in Chester. The ambiance at the Flower Cup is charming, and the staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend the Flower Cup to anyone seeking fantastic food and coffee in Chester. It’s a shame because the menu sounds really great and like it has so many options, but the food is really naff especially for the prices. Spending almost £40 on breakfast drinks for two ppl and thinking that the brekky you make at home is better is a bit disheartening. Could not taste any of the coffee syrup in our drinks, felt like non had been put in, and no seasoning on most of the breakfast food and quite greasy and bland. Staff are friendly though but that’s the only positive.

Only popped in here for drinks. Really liked the light fresh feel of the place and how vibrant it felt. It’s in a great location on the rows in Chester and if you’re lucky enough to get one of the outside tables you can people watch while looking at the beautiful Chester. Service was polite and efficient but we decided to only have drinks as we were told there was a 30 to 40 minute wait for food. Other people’s dishes did look amazing as they were brought out though!

Visited on Sunday morning, was busy but was seated quickly enough- sat on a table outside overlooking watergate street. I had the blueberry pancakes and partner went for the Flowercup breakfast. Both looked and tasted amazing but the pancakes were next level fluffy and tasted so good! Can see why there was a queue forming outside. First time here but certainly won’t be the last.

Lovely colourful cafe, lots of plants and artwork around. Eaten here a few times and the food is always tasty and the staff are friendly and attentive. Today's halloumi bap had loads of halloumi, although I did add guac to the bap and think it was needed. Also picked up some earrings for a Christmas present whilst I was there. The restaurant is on the upper level down Watergate Street in Chester. We had breakfast and food was great. I had bacon, halloumi, avocado, beans and poached egg on sourdough toast. The helping size was good and it was very tasty. I would recommend stopping here if you are in Chester and want a coffee or something to eat.
