My partner and I have been getting our weekly fish and chips from the Flying Fish for over 2 years now. We don't even live in Seaford (a 30 minute drive there and back) and there is a reason we keep coming back! The chips are great and cooked in an healthy oil - not saturated in oil or soggy (unless you take too long to get home), and the burger with the lot is the BEST you will find around. I have compared it to a lot of other burger with the lots around and no other patty and filling remotely comes close in flavour. It doesn't taste like a processed patty like other places. Save your money and go elsewhere. The family pack was an adequate size however... It was all horrible. The fish was cookie cut shaped battered, grey and thin on the inside; potato cakes were heavily soaked in oil -they were soggy and had to be pressed with paper towel. Dim Sims were lightly fried and cool in the middle. Chips were limp and cold!! It's pretty sad when you look forward to having Friday night off cooking and end up having to air fry and throw out most of the fish Not my usual F&C MO. I'll never go back that's for sure.
This is hands down the worst fish and chips we have ever had. Everything was soggy. The fish was soggy and rubbery, with way more batter than fish. One bite was more than enough and we binned it. The chips, again soggy and barely eatable, we binned most of them. And the pineapple fritter, well hubby could barely bite through it, then spat it out when he did. 98% of the meal ended up in the bin. Service: Take out

This place has no idea how to cook grilled fish,you dont batter it or crumb it,you just put it on the hotplate with a little oil and let it cook
