The Flying Squirrel

Date 5th August 2023 Well what can we say,? Absolutely excellent food and service. We were married in Gibraltar on the 4th, and wanted to continue our celebrations back in Spain on the following day with our closest friends and family. Since buying a Duquesa holiday home in 2020, the Flying Squirrel has become one of our favourite places to eat, drink, and relax. We therefore had no hesitation in asking Stuart if he would host our post wedding celebration and, as usual, the Flying Squirrel team did not disappoint. Stuart discussed options with us beforehand, and we agreed on a selection of tapas dishes for each table, including some amazing vegetarian options, all of which were absolutely delicious. The team at the Flying Squirrel went above and beyond to ensure a fabulous evening was had by all of our guests. The evening could not have been any better. Stuart and his team were incredible, they all worked very hard, and our guests have raved about the food, especially the BBQ ribs, since we visited. The food was plentiful, and of a superb standard, drinks were flowing all evening, and were refilled promptly! We cannot thank Stuart and the girls enough for looking after us. If you are in the area, we would highly recommend paying the Flying Squirrel a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Popped up to Montes Square up the hill rather than our usual visit to the port. Visited the Flying Squirrel. Always get a decent greeting from Stuart and got ourselves a table most were already reserved). It was street food night Wednesday but be early if you haven’t booked) Cracking food and only 3€ a dish. Absolutely lovely. We definitely don’t make the effort as much as we should as it’s worth the trip up the road from the port. Great pint, wine lovely , food excellent. Thank you guys we will be back very soon.

Around this cozy little plaza there are bars and restaurants. All very familiar. We chose the tapas restaurant and we loved it. Very friendly and helpful staff. The service was good and the food excellent. We had the BBQ ribs, fish, chicken and leek pie, cheeseburger and dessert of course chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and coffee and walnut cheesecake delicious! Unfortunately we are leaving today otherwise we know were we would eat!

Recently attended a friends wedding party at the Flying Squirrel. It was fantastic from start to finish, freshly made tapas galore and drinks all night long. Staff were exceptional, every single person was made welcome and by the time the evening was over we all felt we had made new friends. Highly recommend this little gem of a place.

Best meal we have had all week. Great value for money. Food was delicious and host/ staff was AMAZING. Will 100% Return here. If you are in the resort you need to come to this place
