We ordered two hot drinks, a bacon roll, and a cheese scone. The drinks arrived promptly and were delicious. However, after waiting for half an hour, our food had not arrived. I asked the helpful girl at the counter who checked with the kitchen and informed us that our food would be ready in a few minutes. The bacon roll arrived shortly after, but the scone took an additional 5 minutes, during which my husband had nearly finished his roll. The scone was tasty, but it was served without butter, which I had to request. The quality of the food was good, but the wait was longer than expected. Additionally, several couples came in while we were waiting, looking for a table, but left due to limite...

A pleasant cafe with a number of rooms. They have some delicious looking cakes, though my fruit scone was a little on the dry side. The other food that we saw looked very nice but was slightly on the high side, price wise. The coffee was the biggest let down. My Cappuccino was completely insipid and tasted of luke warm milk minus any noticeable coffee. I ended up leaving half of it. As nice as all the cakes look, coffee is the most important thing in a coffee shop.

Nice garden area and dog friendly, but a very strange system of finding a table, walking back down a steep incline to the main cafe to order, back up to the table with a buzzer and then back down to collect your order when the buzzer alerted you it was ready. No problem for us, but for those on their own, with dogs or young children, or with reduced mobility what a long drawn out way of getting served

Every time I visit, the service and food at this restaurant are exceptional. The coffee is a delicious local blend and is always accompanied by a small homemade shortbread, which is a nice touch. The bacon sandwich, served on seeded granary bread, is of the highest quality, with no watery processed bacon or dry roll in sight. I highly recommend this coffee house to anyone visiting Settle. I stopped by for lunch and tried the scrumptious sausage, black pudding, and apple roll. The pastry was light and crispy, making it very enjoyable. I also purchased a cheese scone to-go and savored it at home. It was evident that both items were homemade on-site. I will definitely come back the next time I visit Settle.

Lovely place. Very friendly staff. Amazing scones. Loved it. I had a rhubarb scone with ginger preserve and clotted cream. It was possibly the best cream tea I have ever had.

Had lunch here, and the food service was excellent. Unfortunately, we did not have time to look at the museum as we had a train to catch back to Carlisle. We will be back
