Oh my goodness the refurb the have done looks amazing and the new menu will definitely ensure that I go back! So much to try!! This visit I tried the beef rib wow!! Sooo good! Would definitely recommend that. Then... tried La pomme for dessert!! Wow wow wow!! White choc in shape of apple, filled with cheesecake and apple compote then on the side apple sorbet!!! Yum!!!!! All they needed to do was put a sparkler on it and it would be a Mic drop!! If tou like apple you have GOT to try it!! Am looking forward to my next visit!! Ok...so on second visit had the slow roast pork belly YUM YUM YUM!!!! And of course had the La Pomme again! Definitely recommend!! Have just been there for Christmas dinn...
We have visited this restaurant several times over the years and have always enjoyed our experience. It is definitely one of the best-run Vintage Inns we have been to. We recently brought our puppy along for the first time and were pleased to find a dog-friendly section of the restaurant. The staff made sure to give our pup lots of attention while also allowing us time to settle in. The food was excellent, with generous portions and delicious flavors. The pricing was reasonable and the service was outstanding. For those who prefer not to be around dogs, there is a separate dog-free section that is just as charming. The service was unreal from the Ellie a real credit to the team. Everyone seemed amazing and very friendly however it was made just that bit more enjoyable by having such a friendly, attentive, passionate person like Ellie serving us. From start to finish she was there seeing to our every need and making sure everything was okay for us. She even went out of her way to sort out a congratulations writing on our desert plate as we had got engaged that day before dinner. Just want to say a big thank you and my fiancé had the most lovely time. The food was amazing too. Not a long wait and very tasty! There’s not one thing you can improve on you are already there. We will definitely be returning.
I haven't been here for food since the refurb so was very impressed. I had the roast pork which was very well cooked. Nice sides too. Only downsides were the potatoes seemed overcooked, maybe left on the side too long. Other than that all lovely and would definitely recommend this. Staff were very friendly too and place is clean. There was also a live singer the night we came in which was a nice surprise but definitely added to the evening. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent pub meal and good atmosphere.

The food was very nice here. A bit annoyed that when I asked if we could have the lunchtime 2 course menu, we were told they weren't doing it. Fair enough, but when the bill came up, it so happened that one of our party had had what would have been on that menu and it was discounted. The waitress was surprised and didn't know about it. We would have ordered from the cheaper set menu (as seen on website before we went) so thought it was a bit sneaky on the pub's part.
Went for a meal a few weeks ago before going to the cinema. Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere great food. Came for a slightly belated birthday meal with some friends today 26th November 22. We all had very delicious meals. Great friendly service again, although they were under a lot of pressure as there wasn't an empty table in the place!
After enjoying a wonderful experience of walking alpacas and cuddling baby Pygmy goats, we worked up quite an appetite and stumbled upon this charming pub nearby. Despite its location near a roundabout and adjacent to a Premier Inn, the interior of the pub was surprisingly lovely. The staff were friendly and the menu was excellent.
Treated to a lovely Valentines Meal by my partner ! 3 courses of amazing food. Service was wonderful from the moment you walk through the door. Was lovely to be greeted by the host dressed up for the special occasion (gold blazer) and Victoria’s service was impeccable! Extremely happy

A very quaint and cosy pub with a lively roaring fire to keep us warm! The staff were friendly, the food was good. Highly reccomend!
