The Fox Goose At Coombe Bissett

While driving from Blandford to Salisbury, I happened to pass by this pub that serves food from 12-9. My wife and I decided to stop by and we were absolutely thrilled that we did. The food we ordered was excellent, with homemade mains and desserts. The staff were cheerful and friendly, making our experience even better. This is the kind of place that makes you wish you were a local. I highly recommend this pub to anyone in the area.

Wonderful steak and sausage pie at the Fox goose!I visited on a particularly cold Monday night in May. I asked the locals and landlord for a recommendation and unanimously the pie was recommended. It didn’t disappoint; real shortcrust pastry and a well filled portion with some excellent vegetables (very much enjoyed the spiced red cabbage) washed down with some very nicely kept real ale. Nice atmosphere and a very friendly welcome.

I popped into the fox and goose when my vehicle was having issues.Whilst waiting for the AA I asked for some lunch (being diabetic type 1, this is a necessity)The staff were happy to help serve me up some food.All the signs and precautions are visible with regards to covid and staff are wearing masks.Can not fault any of them, this pub has genuine nice staff! Thank you

This place was wonderful in every way - from the friendly staff to the delicious food and excellent facilities! The kids had a great time in the play park in the garden. The prices for food and drinks were also very reasonable. We will definitely be returning 100%.

We made a last-minute booking at this restaurant and the manager kindly found us a table. The service and food were excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, great value for money.
