The Gables - Reserva de mesa

OMG, our dinner tonight may have been called the same but the quality and flavour was on the other end of the spectrum! Last October we took our our parents out for their Anniversary. The lamb melted in your mouth and SO GOOD and packed...with flavour! The JÄGERSCHNITZEL was wonderful and the mushroom gravy delicious. For dessert, 2 ordered key lime pie, 1 ordered torta caprese and 1 ordered the cherry sundae. I have made much better key lime pie and chocolate tort but we sat there and drooled over the cherry sundae we saw arrive! Tonight we took our parents again and my sister and her husband. An excellent find for a fabulous evening meal, the menu was eclectic but appetising the wine list long and relevant. We were eating as a party of 4 friends 3 of whom had the lamb shank which was gorgeous tender flavoursome but not fatty ...perfect. The remaining party member had the mushroom risotto which was equally as accomplished, so often risotto can be either too wet or too dry this was just right with a massive punchy flavour of mushrooms. First visit since it has changed hands.First time since Covid our friends and I have gone out to dinner and we were not disappointed,three of us ordered the rack of lamb,it was amazing.I have ordered this meal several times with previous owners ,so the bar...had been set pretty high.The mushroom crostini I had was scrumptious and apparently was the escargot,everyone wanted to tip up the dish and drink the sauce,extra buns did the trick.My husband had the baby spinach salad with grilled chicken for entrée and thoroughly enjoyed it.one person had dessert the cherry sauce with ice cream it looked so good the rest of us wanted to stick our spoon in it.The server Angela was awesome.We will be bac...

This place has never been disappointed, not even. I literally tried everything on the menu and I'm going through again, Lol. My wife says her favorite is the mushroom risotto, my is good everything! Seriously, though I'd say the steak that you can cut with a plastic spoon. Staff is amazing and very friendly, they remember our favorite apps when we go and drinks too! the place itself is picturesque and simply really beautiful. Outside the terrace is also good if the weather is allowed. Our first post-pandemic visit with friends in the Gables was not disappointed. I look forward to ordering their signature Wiener schnitzel (my usual favorite), I was dropped and ordered the lobster linguine after I delivered it to another table. This delicious seafood pasta medley of a juicy lobster dick was in front of a crabcake appetizer. Service was efficient, but not too eager, and the server was very pleasant. I'm looking forward to my next visit. My only complaint is that they are not open on Sundays.

This century house was converted into a very charming restaurant. Our group of six was on a shiny solid wood table in what once the living room. The service was just as impeccable as the food. The German apple pancake was served just as... I had in Germany and it was delicious and came hot out of the kitchen. I usually reserve five stars for the places that surpass and Gables deserves it. We'll be back.

Visit Brighton and went to the Gables for dinner. The food was excellent! The service was friendly and efficient and the decor was very nice. On the menu there was a good selection of main dishes. I had trouble choosing my main course, as many of the... the decisions looked really good for me. The sections were more than sufficient. I will definitely eat again here!

This was the first time that I've been to this restaurant although I had heard that it is wonderful. This may have been as good as any meal that I have had in a restaurant. I had the fish special which was outstanding and a...friend had the lamb which she said was excellent. A wonderful outdoor patio and great service too. Will definitely be back! Service and quality of food is top notch. Have eaten 4 times in the past year, twice outdoors and twice indoors. Great way to celebrate NYE with a delicious dinner. Cheers to all the staff.

Excellent food and service. Our second visit and we are looking forward to coming back. Happily surprised with our first visit with a group of friends. Food was amazing!
