The Galley: A St. Pete Tavern

I’ve been visiting The Galley for years, and it’s always a great spot for a quick lunch during the workweek, a fun sports night, or a relaxed place to unwind while barhopping downtown. While sports nights can get a bit crowded and noisy, it’s refreshing to experience the local spirit. On weekends, it’s a definite favorite among the college crowd. The food is consistently hot, and the beer is always cold. The staff are friendly and take the time to make you feel valued, even during their busiest periods. A few bartenders and waiters, in particular, consistently go above and beyond to provide excellent service.

I took a bachelor party to this place last weekend for some late-night snacks and cocktails, and we were greeted with such warmth! Cassandra (I'm not sure about the spelling) was amazing, and the rest of the staff was equally fantastic! The food was delicious, especially the pickles, and the cocktails were excellent! We ended up staying the entire night instead of going bar hopping, which had been our initial plan. If I'm ever in the area again, this spot will be my top choice! Cheers to you for running a wonderful establishment!

This hidden gem in downtown St. Pete is a real find! The cocktails are outstanding—where else can you enjoy a genuine gin fizz made with real egg white? The bourbon selection is excellent, and the food is a must-try. The kitchen stays open late, ensuring everything is fresh and delicious. Bita, the bartender, was busy but still made sure we were well taken care of. I can't recommend this place enough!

The Gallery is the go-to spot for late-night bites! The late-night staff was incredibly friendly, creating a relaxed, homey vibe where you can enjoy a beer. Came in from out of town and stopped in here to watch football and hang out with friends. The staff here is amazing. They make excellent drinks and are VERY present. Will definitely make this a regular spot when I come back to St. Pete.

First time here, ordered zucchini fries and the don pollo sandwich. The food was terrible, took a bite of each and didn’t want to have anymore. Very oily and flavorless. Wouldn’t go back for the food anytime soon.

Jason the bartender was fantastic, and he makes the best Espresso Martinis! The food was incredible too. We tried the Grouper sandwich and the Don Pollo sandwich, both of which were delicious.
