The Galley: A St. Pete Tavern

After reading a couple of reviews on the Tampa Bay Restaurant Review on FB, we decided to give The Galley a try! I must say, if we had just been walking by at first look we may not have stopped in, however what caught our eye was the sidewalk bar! Yes, they have one. When you walk in It is a little dark and seating can be limited as there is a bar ,3 high top tables down the center and 4 booths which is where we sat( the very last one open),2 small 2 toppers at the very back. Yet, don’t let that discourage you... sit where you can because service was spot on for us, we were greeted right off and handed menus to look through! I really enjoy the atmosphere, staff, drinks, and food at The Galley. The (initial) main attraction for me was that the owners are St. Pete locals that deeply care about our great city in addition to striving for excellence in their industry. A great place for locals, service industry, sports fans, trivia geeks, beer lovers, humans that eat food, visitors to town, etc. Day, night whichever!

Heard about the late night food menu so we stopped by and I can say I was not disappointed! The grilled cheese sandwich was the best of my life. The old fashions were delicious as well.

I read the CL review. I have to disagree with the writer! The Galley food is always fantastic and cocktails on point! Highly recommend this place! Keep up the good work Guys!

Love this place! Good food, great atmosphere, and really good deals on drinks. Highly recommend.
