As someone who’s worked in security the lady on the door is horrendous! Was waiting for a taxi home and asked if she alright… she was obnoxious and arrogant. She’s already been sacked from the white heart in Hemel old town for being rude. She’s clearly in the wrong line of work. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Have reported to the pub personally. SIA have been informed.
bang in the center of berkhamsted, a very popular pub/restaurant with affordable traditional British food. very old building (in some places, note the low deck) with an impressive double staircase leading to the loos, large and clean. they can also sit outside on small terraces of different levels. the evenings are usually busy. try it.
when wetherspoons go, this one was up here. many chips with the meal and that brings it into my estimation! decor was typical for most of their pubs. the toilets upstairs were clean. the personal is friendly enough. we enjoyed a good lunch here! I recommend the fiesta burger when they are vegetarian!
typical wetherspoons with friendly, efficient staff, many tables and the usual great worth. toilets are upstairs and spotless clean, along with the entire es pane. A nice place, as expected ales In good condition. The guest ale selections could be increased to 4 though ,given the length of the bar .The only complaint being.yet another example of "can 't be bothered "when a barrel needs changing. (A common problem on (quiet nights)
