once so far, but I am already in love with the unique atmosphere. The decor is rustic and cozy, perfect for a casual meal with friends or a solo lunch. The menu is diverse, with a mix of traditional and modern dishes that are all delicious. I highly recommend trying the house-made preserves and sauces, they add a special touch to every meal. The high chairs and communal tables in the back give the place a communal feel, perfect for meeting new people or chatting with strangers. Overall, a great spot for good food and a laid-back atmosphere.
I am never disappointed when I eat at The General. The ambience is casual and the staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of their menu. I am obsessed with the bacon burger here I've come back four times for it and it tastes just as good, if not better, each and every time! It ranks high up there with other restaurants that specialise only in burgers. The fries here are great too! A perfect place to catch up with friends over great food and coffee.
Another inner west gem, the General Eatery offers a delicious menu that caters to vegetarians and burger lovers alike. The chimichanga with red rice, peporanata and pecorino with a side of smashed avo and salsa is a taste sensation; a vegetarian dish that is packed full of flavour. The Ancient Grains Salas is also a winner and comes out as a generous bowl of pearl barley, quinoa, lentils, cherry tomatoes, coriander, dukkah and pomegranate dressing. So much yum!
We were in the area and I was curious about their coffee, it was sadly a disappointment and not so good. HOWEVER my friend got the friend chicken as a snack and I admit it was good. Need to go back and try the other food before passing recommendations

Best breakfast I’ve ever had in Sydney hands down, the mushrooms as an add on are a must! Also the smashed avo is next level... oh and the corn fritters were perfect amount of fried and dense, usually I always find them dry.
This is definitely one of the foodie gems in Dulwich hill!!! Totally in love with their cheeseburger with fries and pair them with southern fried chicken wings!!! Simply the best comfort food for me.
Not bad. Good fried chicken, big portions, but not cheap. Very noisy and limited menu. Good service and low key. Pumpkin was nice but Brussel sprouts were undercooked. Will be bad.
The coffee at this restaurant is fantastic and the ambiance is charming. The service is top-notch and the quality of the food is always consistent. Definitely worth the price.

Lazy Sunday afternoon lunch at this place.Good food, generous serving sizes and reasonable prices. The service was a bit slow though. Otherwise recommended.
