A village pub with great character and class, with a small car park to the rear and some outside seating too. We chose to eat in the bar area. However, further back, there is the option to sit in the dining section, which did look very inviting. There is a sign to say well-behaved dogs welcome on leads in the bar, which is great, so we will certainly visit again with ours! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We were only inside for moments and were warmly treated and shown to our seats. The food was delicious. We weren't adventurous and just had the burger and chips. The ambiance was pleasant, but the food was underwhelming and the wine was expensive. I ordered the stuffed Chicken with Mustard sauce and found both the sauce and black pudding to be overpowering.
