The George At Trottiscliffe

We had Sunday dinner here and were very disappointed. We were a group of 4. My Sunday dinner had a few small roast potatoes that were hidden under the small portion of lamb. 3 Brussels and a few carrots. I can only assume they had run out of Sunday lunch which is fair enough but please let the customer know before ordering and paying an extortionate price. This used to be a lovely place to eat but unfortunately I think they have just got to greedy. I also think Charging 10% service charge in a pub is disgusting so won’t be bothering again. This pub has lost all of its personal touches unfortunately

Attended an Adele Tribute evening, the pub was full but we were made to feel welcome and shown to our table within a couple of minutes. I had the George burger which was really tasty and my friend the chicken shish, which was tender and perfectly cooked, service was great. The tribute act Katie Wilson was superb and she was fully supported by the events manager Louisa, she was just brilliant, attentive without being intrusive. Great at encouraging audience participation, singing and dancing, fabulous evening.

Christmas festive lunch, absolutely delicious all three courses and very reasonably priced. A set price for either two or three courses. Had the three courses and not disappointed. All very festive and the decorations inside plus our table looked so pretty. Excellent service being served by lovely staff. Certainly a good way to celebrate the forthcoming Christmas festivities with family or friends.

This charming and welcoming pub offers delicious food, a great atmosphere, and exceptional service. This was our first time dining here, but we will definitely be coming back soon. We highly recommend it.

Ambience, food and staff were excellent. Prices were in line with the LARGE plate of food that you get. Car parking easy and there is a side access with a slope for disabled Nice pub
