On holiday for a week we craved a Roast dinner. The George was the first place we saw when we got off the bus. As we had the dog we needed to be in the beer garden which was beautifully kept with flowers and features. All the staff were polite, attentive and the food was delicious. Only £14.95 for 3 courses of which my partners starter could have fed most people alone. If we holiday in IOW again this place is a must to eat at Price per person: £10–20
Absolutely the worst pub on the island, went on Wednesday and still thinking about the horrendous service now. Ending up leaving half-way through my cider as I couldn't stand the way myself and other customers were being spoken to by the guy behind the bar Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
My time at the George Inn was thoroughly unpleasant, the Landlord was needlessly RUDE and confrontational, and judging from previous reviews for this establishment I can see that I am not the first to suffer this individual. Do not recommend. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

A traditional pub that provide a decent Sunday roast at a reasonable price. Good location as 2 minutes walk from bus station. They do seem to close some days and food is not served every day arm. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
The landlord was extremely rude to anyone who wasn't a local, and the other diners were just as unfriendly. It's unfortunate because it left a bad impression on us, and we won’t be returning. Overall, the service and atmosphere both rated a 1.
