4.4 The Ginger Man is located right in the center of downtown Greenwich in the midst of all the retail stores. It's also close to the train station which has worked for us for over a decade to have an annual Christmas meal here with a family member who lives in Manhattan and rides up for our lunch. The atmosphere is a blend of casual and upscale/pub and restaurant. There is a long wooden bar with stools, some tables and booths around the bar with views of the busy street, and some private event rooms upstairs at the top of a long winding staircase. Warm and hubby place in Greenwich, CT, which is unusual. The food, however, was not very good. My steamed mussels were served lukewarm in an overly tomato-ey sauce. The fried calamari were good. My husband ordered a beef stew, which was a tiny serving. My son's wrap came out quite a bit later than the rest of our entrees, and then when I had to send back my mussels to have them heated up, there was another awkward wait. My mother was halfway through her salad, when the oil and vinegar she had asked for three times finally arrived.
This place has a great warm feel to it. With two floors, most will eat or drink on the nail level. The bar is fairly long and had a few screens for games. The back section is quieter. The menu is a standard set of American dishes. I had the hamburger which was served on an English muffin. It was well cooked and simple but very tasty. The fruits here are hot, crispy and dark. Well done.
Susan is usually our waitress, she’s awesome! The vibe is personable and friendly. The food? 10/10!! Who would think a hole in the wall has fresh oysters, amazing wings, colorful salads and delicious sandwiches/burgers. If you know you know… if you don’t, check them out!! Chef is always on his game!

Great local restaurant/bar. Very cool English decor. Fireplace in the back. TVs in the bar area. Food was fantastic. The Ginger Man burger is awesome. The pesto Mac-n-cheese was outstanding. Service was great.
We loved the soft pretzel and pesto mac and cheese. It's a nice place and the service was good. The food was good but a little expensive. It can be hard to find parking closer to the restaurant on busy days.
Sunday after St. Paddy’s day, this restaurant has a live music band. It’s immediately after the parade. Food and service were very good. Got the corn beef
Great food and a good atmosphere. Had a good cocktail specials and friendly service. Come here often and bring friend from NYC. Everyone always enjoys it.

Good spot when you want a relaxing dinner. Really good food and drinks! Great atmosphere as well.
Great place for all American food with great beer, including non alcoholic drinks!
