Lovely friendly village pub serving delicious home made food. Chef, bar and serving staff all extremely good at what they do. 7 of us had a fantastic lunch, a couple went for the traditional Sunday roast, a couple had steaks, and a couple had either Chicken or Beef burger. Everything was top notch, quality, presentation, price and taste, we couldn't fault it. And now having found it, we shall be back again and would equally feel happy just to sit and have a brew. But we will most certainly return to eat again, and soon. Many thanks for a great experience, keep up the good work

the gissing crown is an excellent place for drinks, eating or not. so or so, it has an excellent atmosphere, beautiful people all around. the staff is great, the chef is very friendly and a great chef at it. eating is always nice here, I don't think I've had a real weight for years. the drinks are cheap and the atmosphere was never a boring moment. many outdoor seats are for the hotter weather and a lot of indoors for the winter. recommend this place, it is also worth traveling even if they do not live near!

on Wednesday last week we changed here for lunch while we were in thetford during half-time. we have booked a table for 12.30 clock and we were immediately shown on our table. loved the decoration of the place and seemed to be where the locals met for a start! I ordered a bark and ale cake and wow it was delicious! the maic slender literally in the mouth and was so fluffy. compliments to the cook. highly recommended to eat here. very friendly service also.

three incredible meal times and delicious three times boiled chips. Chef cooks everything from ground on with an extensive vegetarian option. meat, cheese and handmade fresh desserts. cozy atmosphere with views of the kitchen. highly recommended!

amazing renovation in the dining room, the bar area a more traditional pub, new cook, new menu, worth a visit
