We held a gathering in the Event Room at Godfather's after my aunt's funeral. I don't live in NJ and was planning the repast having never visited the restaurant. Gionna was absolutely amazing in guiding me through the process, and answered all of my questions before I even asked them. They welcome flowers, pictures, and your own music if you wish. When we showed up the day of the event, I was blown away with how beautiful the space was. I then met the staff who was working the event, to include Gionna's brother (forgive me for forgetting his name), and everyone was so kind in offering condolences, and making sure we all had what we needed. Awesome Italian food ? I had the carbonara pasta (saw it online menu and was not on restaurant menu and was still able to order it! . Calamari was so soft yet crispy and tender. The mussels need a bit work as the lacked flavor like salt or citrus. After a squeeze of lemon from our calamari it was awesome. They brought out bread ? for the table which included I believe two slices of focaccia along with Italian bread. Service was impeccable and the ambiance of the overall place is great. This restaurant offers the quintessential New Jersey experience with amazing food! Our server was a genuine Jersey girl with the tough attitude you would expect, and she provided honest recommendations on menu items that were right on point. The food was absolutely delicious. Be sure to visit if you're looking for top-notch thin crust pizza or delectable seafood dishes in Northern New Jersey!

I have placed multiple orders here every month. I recently made the decision to dine inside with my family. Unfortunately, the staff seemed disorganized as we waited for 20 minutes without anyone coming to take our order or bring us water. This family-owned Italian restaurant is traditional and upscale, ensuring all guests feel at home. The Godfather himself ensures a fantastic experience. This place offers a restaurant, bar, and event space, all separated for your convenience. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the service is excellent. Love the food here. Food is better than you would think for a strip mall location. However we ordered 2 -2 pound lobsters. Took40 minutes. Then we asked for help to crack it and when it came back half the lobster was missing. They took some money off the bill but didn't seem to concerned.

Did an after-internment Celebration of Life at Godfather. Food was great, the room decent size and spaced out enough for people to mingle. Servers were great too. Would recommend.

I eat here once and a while with co workers, we love the bar staff. Pizza is brick oven and the oysters are good

They’ve blocked the side walk. Have to walk in Street with my son to get around.Food is ok but over priced.
