My partner and I visited Chester for our first weekend getaway together and decided to stay at the Golden Eagle because of its good value and Chester ambiance. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the owner and the barman, who expressed their concern about our late arrival and made us feel very welcome. They showed us to our room and explained all the facilities and hotel services, giving us a comfortable and secret feeling. a real old English city center pub. historical building (since the beginning of the 17th century on the ground). Un-fussy, but comfortable interior design. well kept beer (tim taylor’s landlord in this case). friendly staff, martin the renter is a great kerl. kricket on the telly. what is not to like! (5 stars) we were also for a few nights. the room was a bit like its favorite grandmother: quirky but friendly, creaky but characterful (floorboards and bed, which was also a bit firm), up to the earthy but welcoming priced at 70 €. This restaurant is fantastic! The staff are friendly, the Sunday roast dinner is amazing, and they have a vinyl night on Mondays and a wine night on Wednesdays. It's a refined dining experience, thanks to Young's. The trip to Chester is definitely worth it to dine here.

Just spent a weekend at The Golden Eagle. The room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be returning.
