The Golden Heart Inn

I visited the restaurant today at 2:30 PM for a roast and wasn't served until around 3:35 PM. There was a huge queue at the bar, and I waited about 30 minutes to be served. When the food finally arrived, I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the gravy, so naturally, by that time, all the food had gone cold. I definitely won't be returning. Price per person: £20–30. Food: 2/5. Service: 2/5. Atmosphere: 4/5.

The pub itself is charming and beautifully decorated, with plenty of parking available. We particularly enjoyed the inviting atmosphere created by the open wood fire and a lovely wood burner in the room where we dined. It was so warm and welcoming—definitely a place we'll return to!

We had lunch at this restaurant and enjoyed a burger and chips. The meal was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the chips were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting, as they also offer a great vegetarian and vegan menu. Kayley, the barmaid, was fantastic!

I enjoyed Sunday lunch on November 19, 2023. The pub had a charming and cozy atmosphere with a warm, roaring fire. The food was excellent, and the staff were both polite and friendly. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere as a perfect 5 out of 5.
