We received a warm welcome from the locals. We brought our dogs along while camping nearby and searched for dog-friendly pubs, which led us here. What a fantastic local spot! They have a wide selection of beers and a wonderful atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, and the bar lady even treated our dogs to some chicken. We highly recommend this pub and will definitely return for another visit.
A real mix of characters frequent this place. Good selection of beers, no hanging around waiting to be served. I have seen negative reviews of this pub, probably because the author felt out of place as the atmosphere is a bit different. Overall, why wouldn't you....?
For me, the Golden Lion on North Street in Rochford, Essex, is a fantastic pub. I've been visiting it since 1968 and have witnessed many changes over the years. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is welcoming, thanks to the great customers.
