The Golding Hop Tea House

Really lovely old pub. Didnt speak much to the landlord as he was chatting about old times to a couple of locals about the good old days and past patrons. This is a tiny but proper old fashioned pub, wont find teenagers drinking in here nor loud music or gastro meals. I really liked it a lot and wish it was local to me.

The restaurant offers a fantastic selection of unique teas and herbal infusions, including some from Australia. We enjoyed a delightful scone with cream, followed by a rich and decadent chocolate cake. While it’s not the cheapest option, the quality of the food justifies the price.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to visit this pub. My dad, Eddie Mortimer, owned it with his wife, Sonya. Sadly, I never met my father; I only discovered through DNA testing that Eddie is my dad. I've heard he had quite a quirky personality.

A lovely traditional Pub that i have frequented for over 40 years more than any other Pub in my lifetime. Great selection of ciders and traditional food with probably the best chips in the UK !

Visited some time ago. It's out if the way, off the beaten track but the tea is good and the cake is very nice. Let's hope it remains for a long time or at least until it reopens as a pub.

We took mum on Tuesday and had tea and scones with jam and cream. All very nice. Only thing was missing was some napkins, jam can be sticky so it would have been nice to have a napkin.

fantastic afternoon tea in perfect country tea room set. fresh sandwiches, scones and small cakes with amazing selection of very delicious tees. if in the opposite.

This charming little teahouse is incredibly affordable and situated in a wonderfully tranquil location. I highly recommend it!
