The Goose Gander - Reserva de mesa

Been many times and usually okay I assume they can't get enough staff, currently to serve adequately. Booked for to eat arrived early in the bar it took minutes to get a drink. No staff to show us to...a table so we just sat down and waited. After a while I asked the manager for some menus he said okay but didn't bring us any. I went back to him and asked again minutes later and so he brought us some. Ordered food and a round of drinks. He forgot the drinks so after minutes I went and got some from the bar. Our main course came at minutes after our table time. Had to rush food down and leave some to make our taxi. Very unenjoyable.

Visited with family including elderly parents. Wheelchair access is good. Staff were friendly and helpful, atmosphere was pleasant and service was excellent. Food was very nice and well presented and portion sizes were perfect. Good selection of beers and wines and staff seemed quite knowledgeable....Prices were very reasonable and it could easily be described as fine dining at pub prices. If I had one complaint it would be that the music was perhaps a tad loud. All in all a very pleasant dining experience.

I can't recommend very much. I enjoyed every mouthful of my ballotine of huhn with parma ham and saffron maic. it was served with an exceptional economical and champagne sauce. although I loved my choice, I had chosen a dish for the game cake. of some of my companions. they were generous enough to give me a taste and it was nice. So I'll have it when we get back. goose and gander, you make a great job.

We went here on a Friday night for a family meal, we did have a bit of a wait for our order and food to arrive. However when querying with reception there had been a genuine mistake with our order, the waitress was very apologetic...and manager more than compensated for it. The food was excellent and well worth the wait in the end, nice environment and friendly staff. Thanks for a lovely meal Reserva una mesa ahora

Visited with family in December and had food of the festive menu , courses for and found it great value because the food was some of the best we've had for a long time. Lovely young girl served us and nice gentleman...with the drinks. Will definitely be coming back soon , couldn't fault anything ..

very good eating and drinking were exactly right, I had the shoulder of the lamb the only thing it was down that eating was only warm and not hot, not enough to send back, but could warm with the teller...and eating a little hotter

Good food and service, everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Reasonable portions of well cooked food at reasonable prices. Our only minor issue was the fish pie had a bit too much potato rather than fish.

I just came back from what I can only describe as a tasty lunch dipped cloves followed by a lush game cake also the service was impeccable price very reasonable will definitely return Reserva una mesa ahora

Fab food , great service by all the staff , deserves to be busy ,will deffo be back. And im hard to please so well done to all.

reopened many times since restaurants and never disappointed. Eating is always beautifully presented and delicious.
