The Great Eccleston Fish

I’m not sure what they do to their fish, or what they clean their food prep surfaces with, but on two occasions now the fish literally tastes of soap. More often than not, it’s fine. Not close to the standard a few years ago, but ok. After the last soapy fish we vowed never to go back. Tried a few weeks ago and I’d go so far as to say it was ‘good’, but tonight…another soapy fish! So soapy in fact that every member of the family tried it and immediately spat it out. So this time, there won’t be a next time. Just awful.

Visited here on a pre planned coach trip following the Blackpool illuminations. Everything was organised beforehand and had great communication. We were accommodated brilliantly. We sat down in staggered sittings, as there were still some customers eating, but it was fine as everyone ate and had a lovely time. The staff were efficient and friendly and the food was excellent. An absolutely great time had by all.

Take away with great food, all freshly cooked, and served with a smile There is also a sit in cafe which I have not tried but, if the takeaway is anything to go by it will be great.

Been going to this chippy for absolutely years and everything was always top notch and so fresh but now I believe it’s under new management all I can say is oh dear!

Stunning fish and chips the best I the area by a long eat. Its the only places we go for our Friday fish and chips
