The perfect end to a stressful day! So pleased we found this gem. Madeleine, on the bar, welcomed us and our little dog, showed us to our table and made us feel so comfortable with her friendly nature. She brought water and treats for Luna . We ordered food, which arrived in good time. Oh, wow, absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend the braised pork, roast veg and mash! We had to take a little doggy bag back, because the portion sizes are decent!! Glenn, restaurant manager, has fantastic taste in music, shared his playlist, chatted with us... Honestly the best pub I've been to in ages! The stressful day had the best ending... We found a new place we'll be visiting again soon. Highly recommen...
The food is incredible, and on a normal day, everything runs smoothly. Service is impeccable and spot on. However, after seeing an ad for their bonfire night event with promises of activities for the kids, we went. The queues for drinks were ridiculous, 30 minutes it took to just to get a drink from either bar. There was nothing for the kids to do from what we saw/found. The playground part was no longer there either, which left most of the kids just idling about. That being said, it was a great idea to have a marquee up as it was baltic, and everyone was lovely. First time we’ve visited Greedy Duck as we have heard a good reviews. Food was OK, meat was the best but about the meal. Gravy was like water both in taste and thickness. It was advertised with certain veg and we got other veg roast potatoes and carrots had been made earlier which you could tell with taste and appearance. Service lacked oumph whilst staff were friendly only one member of staff looked like she knew what she was doing.. a couple of tables were complaining about numerous stuff. Would I go back? Probably not.
We celebrated my partner's birthday at this amazing restaurant, and I couldn't have picked a better spot. From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt truly welcomed. Have seen lots of great reviews about this place so thought I'd better check it out and wasn't disappointed. We had Sunday dinner 1 pork and 1 lamb and we really enjoyed both. I ordered the beef sandwich on a granary roll with onion marmalade, but instead, I received a beef sandwich with horseradish on two slices of thin wholemeal bread. I mentioned the mistake when I was paying, but overall, I don't think I'll be coming back. Food: 3/5, Service: 3/5, Atmosphere: 4/5.
