The Greek - Reserva de mesa

We was booked at a nearby restaurant for a hen party however unfortunately there was an issue in the kitchen which meant evacuation and fire engines turning up. The place we was booked into went across to the Greek to ask if we could all sit in there to keep warm. (A party of 12) they let us sit in downstairs then moved us upstairs. They where extremely accommodating considering we hadn’t booked. We wasn’t going to order food until another party separate to us did and it looked and smelled delicious. The waitress couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and even giving us a round of shots!! Deffs will return after the amazing service

Normally we go to The Aegean in Hull which is excellent, but we’d heard great things about The Greek so thought we’d try it out for a change, on looking at the menu I thought it seemed very limited, especially as far as seafood goes but it does state they have a specials board, unfortunately when we arrived at 7.30 on a Friday evening we were told there are no specials, so how can you call yourselves a greek restaurant without any fish on the menu. So after pondering the menu we decided on the mixed grill, which admittedly was nice apart from the lamb chops which were overcooked and very chewy. Needless to say we won’t be going again.

We had the mixed grill for 2 and certainly enough food for 3, so we were kindly offered packaging to bring away our leftovers! Looking forward to my lunch today! Lamb loin chops as good as any I have ever tasted, and I come from the west coast of Ireland where our lamb is famed for it's flavour. Finished off with two lovely Greek desserts, a few cold Greek beers and a complimentary shot of Ouzo. The front of house manager was so friendly and helpful that he surely added to a very pleasant experience. As our daughter lives in Hessle, we'll be back whenever we visit. Thanks for a great meal and a lovely warm welcome

Absolutely loved our meal here for our granddaughters birthday. I've never had Gyros before but chose the mixed meat one. It was delicious. The sweet I chose was fantastic it was filo pasty with apple and cinnamon, I can't remember the Greek name. It would have fed 2 people though. All staff were courteous and attentive, we definitely will be back. Reserva una mesa ahora

8 of us met up for an early evening meal, we all agreed it was awesome in every way, we all enjoyed our food, there was plenty of it, staff were polite and friendly, as it was our first time, pointing out helpful tips so as not to over order, we will definitely be going again

We visit The Greek at every opportunity. They have THE best food! The staff are amazing and are always very friendly and welcoming too. The Lamb Kefte is to die for! Trust me, you will be addicted! The Greek, Hessle will forever be our favourite place

Far surpassed my expectations. What a gem of a restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We shared different mezze dishes, all of which were excellent. Great atmosphere, decor, music etc etc. Very good value too. Definitely recommend.

Food was great. Different to our Greek restaurant we go to in the states but this was the second time I'd been and will go again in December Reserva una mesa ahora

We ordered the mixed grill to share and there was loads of food. The quality of all that we ate was superb. Very authentic delicious food.

The meze looked incredible but I had the halloumi gyros wrap and it was a beauty. Take-away (collection only) is available.
