The Greyhound Free House Grill

I had a fantastic evening at The Greyhound, which has recently come under new management (I believe since summer '23). The menu has been streamlined, with the pricey wagyu options removed, but there are still a variety of beef cuts available (such as T-bone, Chateaubriand, ribeye, etc). The starters were delicious, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The staff and management were very attentive, and although it wasn't a budget-friendly meal, I felt that the quality of the food and overall experience justified the cost. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Outstanding in every aspect. The warm and friendly welcome set the tone for a wonderful dining experience that lasted throughout the meal. The high-quality food was beautifully presented. I even had the chance to chat with AWT. The desserts were not only delicious but also reasonably priced. While it may not be the cheapest option, it certainly offers great value for the quality of food and service.

I had a delightful late lunch at this restaurant. The food was delicious, albeit a bit pricey, but the quality made it worth it. The wine selection was excellent, and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to visit again in the future.

Limited menu very pricey even though this was a special occasion. The Chateau Briand £52 ordered as medium was very rare but the 6oz fillet steak £36, ordered medium rare arrived well done no pink at all. I probably would not go again.

Never been here before which is a shame as it's a great local pub to have a meal. Couldn't fault it in any respect. Very friendly service from the manager and the room is a very inviting place to sit. excellent value and great food.
