The Greyhound Pub Dining

Very disappointing. Our table was on the first floor via a steep narrow staircase. This is not suitable for an infirm or elderly person. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The table settings are nice. One is served with warm, somewhat hard, bread roll and butter. and a small soft roll sprinkled with parmesan, presumably an 'amuse bouche '. Everything is served with a flourish. We each had a main dish, without starter. Servings are small on large plates. My wife ordered one of two meat dishes on the menu sirloin steak which proved somewhat chewy and indifferent flavour. The alternative would have been rabbit. We went to the Greyhound for my Wife's Birthday and booked online. Firstly, the welcome and attention to detail was probably the best I've experienced at any restaurant. We were greeted at the door, by our names, they wished my wife happy Birthday, and our table, which was of a great size in a great location, had a Birthday card signed by 18 people! Along with this, were personalised engraved napkin holders. A lovely touch! We went for the tasting menu which was 6 Courses with an optional additional course for a supplement which we shared. There was also several other complimentary courses that came with it. In total I think we had 11! The service was impeccable. Friendly, quick, attentive....

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this restaurant! It was our first family lunch there, and it far exceeded our expectations. The ambiance was perfect, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were exceptional. The extra treats served between courses were a delightful surprise and very tasty; the attention to detail was outstanding. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back! The price per person was around £70–80.

Just an amazing place, staff are always smiling, chef delivers, great owners, attention to detail isn't forgotten... Hannah is an example of customer delight.. a beautiful thriving restaurant with real people great food first time I've done bingo a full house across all. Honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to and I used to work at a Michelin starred restaurant. The staff are wonderful. The tasting menu is divine. Cannot recommend it enough and it is well worth the money. Price per person: £100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
