The restaurant is stunning. Every aspect, from the décor and ambiance to the service and food choices, is remarkable. While I don't think sushi quite fits the atmosphere, it's still really delicious. However, I highly suggest steering clear of the chocolate gooey cake; ours was not gooey at all, just stale. Also, be ready for your server to drop the check in the middle of dessert without any prior notice. Overall, I definitely plan to return, but I'm hoping for better desserts next time.
The service was lacking; I ordered a gin martini but received vodka instead, and I asked for the dressing on the side but got the salad already dressed. The NY strip was of poor quality—very thin—and it wasn’t cooked medium rare as I requested. I wouldn’t recommend the steak at this restaurant.
This is a great place for tourists that is not a long walk from the Mall. It has a very “DC” feel. Service was friendly and experienced. I wasn’t that impressed with the food. Definitely didn’t like the peach cobbler, which was disappointingly dough-y.
The second order of gnocchi didn't match the quality of the first. The coconut rum "cake" was quite unusual; it resembled a heavily coconut-covered snowball, and the cake itself was very mushy. I ended up sending both dishes back. Reserva una mesa ahora
Food and service were outstanding. We selected a variety of items for dinner and each choice did not disappoint. We would highly recommend The Hamilton and plan to return on our next visit to DC.
There was hair in my food, and the manager didn’t even take the time to come out and apologize. The customer service and management level are both quite lacking.
While we would have preferred a booth (we didn't ask for one, however), the setting was very nice and historic. The server attentive and food was good.
Love this place. It’s my “go to” whenever I’m in DC. Tonight’s selection was the Pork Chop Milanese which was spectacular. Definitely worth a try. Reserva una mesa ahora
