Yeah, there's a pandemic, so they were probably short-time. we have allowed this, but not for the cold meal that was finally put before us. I had ordered a little haddock and chips. there were many cold chips and inherited, but the squid was reported missing. the part was so small that he had vanished into a little hard-boiled teig. the meal came together with a soft drink. We tried to get in here last night, but I was told very rudely by the girl at the entrance they were full, I said we didn't mind waiting, but she said there's no point in waiting as they are too busy. After a few...minutes of debating I said we would just have a drink, but was told aggressively this time, NO! I explained I didn't mind waiting, but was continually told no. It was more her aggressive manor that annoyed me more than anything else. I think if people are going to deal with the public at the entrance to a restaurant, then they should know how to speak to people. Came here with family for breakfast on Sunday morning 7 of us. Total disaster, two of us ordered scrambled egg on toast and had to send it back as eggs were cold? Two full fry ups came eggs cold and rest tepid? No butter came...with toast by time we got butter toast was cold! We had to ask twice when our fresh scrambled eggs on toast would be ready as rest of family finished theirs and ours still hadn’t came out. When it did it was hotter but obv not made fresh we felt it was microwaved My cranberry juice came with ice? Wasn’t proper cranberry juice I felt. Not great service or food and we won’t be back for breakfast as it was awful.
We popped in for a drink and walked passed at least three staff members only to be accosted by a rude young girl shouting at us to get out because they had too few staff members on duty place was half empty and few...of the staff standing blathering behind bar not busy in slightest. We were mortified! Just plain rude and unprofessional. She done same to poor wee pensioner who’d walked fair treck for a beer. Just no need. Will never go back.

for a part of a national chain, the henry bell is a pretty decent pub restaurant. eating is what they expect, but it is well cooked and presented by helpful and efficient workers. ok, it is not good eating, but it is honest eating too. a very reasonable price. a good selection of drinks at a good price too. a good place for a drink or informal meal.
I go on a Saturday at the henry bell any other week and eating is always a disappointment I know that this is not good eating, but at least boiled or not cooked over would be nice, the cook does not seem to understand the...Similarly so obviously the food team does not understand how to put or spend the menu. always a disappointment.
standard Wetherspoons offerings easy to use the app for ordering and plenty seating huge range of options for food for snacks or more good combos' and special offers good portions. prompt service once ordered outdoor seating great if no wind or rain ! COVID compliant
we have booked a lunch on a trip by bus and have ordered fried buttermilk chickens and chips. both the chicken and the chips were tasteless, even after the application of salt and vinegar. very disappointed

I had to wait a while before my lunch guests made it through traffic. About half an hour...staff were amazing checking i was ok and offering a drink service. Bless them xxx Food and service amazing
Good service and good beer, but food fairly mediocre. Disappointing as it was very quiet and little stress on the cooking team. Don't order the pasta!
