in the inner: one of the most cozy, warmest and most welcoming pubs in the city, which certainly say something like heated the bar has set quite high for the greeting pubs. Outside: a warm and cozy garden, with plenty of seating and a cool landscape atmosphere. While this was my first time here, the personal felt like a father from the moment I stepped through the door.

really super service the young lady could no longer have been helpful. good real ale. the eating was well done, from a quite small selection (I prefer this to be a huge menu where most options have to be frozen or something) and beautifully presented. Thank you! 5 minutes walk from the city centre of hitchin.

nice place, eating was fantastic and very punctual, staff were really friendly. the entire outdoor dining experience was really nice in a really friendly environment. there were many people who seemed to know each other, but it was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

had drunk a nice afternoon with the family. helpful, friendly staff with a beautiful outdoor environment. hot water bottles and cozy seat covers kept the cold, while a decent pilger extinguished my thirst.

Another wonderful meal at The Highlander, everyone is so friendly and the food was lovely. We both enjoyed the Salmon supreme special tonight. A really welcoming pub restaurant with a quality menu.
