A big surprise!! I was in Ramsgate and was gasping for a cuppa. Saw a sign for tea rooms and rushed in. It was like I had just walked out of the Tardis into the 1930s. Wonderful attention to details for a war time themed tea room. The owners had lovingly thought out and sourced many items from this time period. I had a cheese and pickle sandwich, scone and a pot of tea all for £10.95. Absolutely delighted to receive real tea in a china pot with a hand knitted tea cosy on it. It came with a tea strainer and was loose leaf tea. Milk in a glass jug and sugar in an antique glass jar. my friend and I discovered the charming home front caffe by chance and were thrilled by him. Not only is the decoration inspired by wartimes Britain, it actually contains many original articles from time, including packages and doses. the menu also offers food from the same time, some of them, like tinted patches and spam sandwiches, rare on café menus today. the staff are helpful, friendly and efficient and service is good. if they are worth visiting in the opposite.
We visited the Home Front Tea Room today for our very first experience of “Afternoon Tea,” and it was delightful! We were thoroughly impressed by everything—from the beautiful setting to the friendly staff and the lovely atmosphere. The original music and the educational videos featuring an old telephone added to the overall experience. We can’t wait to return soon!

The menu is simple yet thoughtfully curated, reflecting the café's unique style and taste. The staff is lovely and dressed in fitting attire that adds to the experience. The staff is friendly and makes guests feel at home. The decor is charming, and I particularly loved the little sweater on my teapot. However, both the tea and the scone were quite mediocre, and the hidden cream was far too stiff. Overall, I would give this place 4 stars.
