In the area again ,and joined the village people for the pre toasting celebrations prior to the ancient vintage meat draw,which takes place each Friday night in the local community pub. At the given time of six thirty with eager villagers gathered safely in the establishment,Mike the mine host extraordinaire, will commence proceedings ,and make the draw. There are at least 15 prizes during the draw, so the opportunities are good to win your next meal. The place is alive, with service and beers excellent,and this time we chose to partake of the generous menu,as it was always recommended. The food on all plates ,that evening was well prepared,hot and welcoming,which sums up the various aspects...
Saw last week that Christmas menu had launched and we decided to give it a try. When we got there we were told that if you want Xmas menu, you need to let them know in advance. Went with normal lunch. Food ok, chips are oven chips, cheese was a processed cheese slice on my sandwich and the place was freezing. There’s a log burner but it had not been lit. Overall very disappointing. Shame as not too far so could’ve been a regular place to visit but I’m not sure I will be back. I suggest they get the fire roaring to make the place inviting, clarity on Christmas menu that it HAS to be pre-ordered, maybe some low level music to create an atmosphere.
We had a fantastic evening tonight at the restaurant. Oliver, the singer, was excellent. The staff were working diligently and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Despite some recent negative reviews, we are so grateful that we decided to give this place a chance. We believe in supporting local businesses, especially when they are just starting out. Let's cut them some slack and show our support. Thank you.
I met up with some friends at this charming restaurant. Once again, I ordered the steak cooked on a hot stone. It was delicious as always. I want to give a special shoutout to our wonderful server Sophie, who took great care of us all evening. Thank you, you are a star.

This cozy and charming pub had a great atmosphere, and my friends and I had a fantastic evening. The landlord and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we definitely plan to return. The food was excellent and we were left wanting more.
Had a lovely fish chips lunch today. Beautifully presented and great value for money. As locals we would definitely recommend this pub to visitors. The staff are friendly and it is close to the Middlewood Way and beautiful canal walks.
This place never disappoints me. Friday night meal with friends is made even better by the top quality food and ever so friendly service Rib eye steak served on the stone was again outstanding and so was my wife's lasagna..
Amazing food! Lamb skewers are delicious, the steaks are fantastic, you won’t get a better fillet anywhere in my opinion. Good friendly service too. We have been many times and will continue to do so

If you love steak, you will love this place. My preference was lamb cooked on the stone before your very eyes. Great pub/dining experience. Can be busy on Fridays though due to the meat raffle
