Having been to other restaurants in this chain, we thought we’d pop in for Sunday lunch. As usual, I declared my allergies. Unfortunately, it was a carvery being Sunday. I spoke with at least three members of staff before getting my meal. At one point, I did feel that there was a reluctance to provide the food and meet my allergy requirements. Eventually, the meal came. It was all fine. They had provided extra gravy and had actually been thoughtful. I just wish they were more confident with allergy awareness and worked with customers more promptly to provide the service that others get so quickly. At the end, the chef spoke with us. I highly recommend this restaurant. We went there to celebrate my son and boyfriend's birthday with a party of 15 people, and the staff were very welcoming. I want to give a special mention to Mark, the manager, who was extremely friendly and took great care of us. He made sure all our food came out together, and it was all delicious. Every one of us enjoyed our meals, which were served hot despite the large group. Mark even arranged for us to have our own server, Paige, who was lovely and attentive. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - they were absolutely wonderful. Thank you both so much for a fantastic experience!
Had our second family meal at the Hunsworth this August and service and food was excellent again despite past reviews. The place was very busy and staff were very courteous. Only hiccup was they just ran out of one of the pie selection but no problem to change. Cym was our table server and others were on the ball with drinks and deserts. Our mum was in her wheelchair and we reserved a table we normally use which helps access. We will continue to use Hunsworth for breakfasts, Dinners and special occasions as we have done over the many years. The Ryan family.
I dined alone today. I was greeted with a friendly welcome, i like the fact that no one blinked an eye that i was dining alone and i was made to feel really comfortable by the all the team, more so Mark and Paige as they were front of house. I ordered a smothered burger, it was so nice, very presentable too! I found the place to be neat, tidy and clean which to me is a win win! I stayed at the Premier Inn for a couple of weeks and had numerous meals, including breakfast and dinner, and every meal was excellent. The staff are all friendly, polite (even to difficult customers), and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant and want to thank the staff for their warm welcome during my stay.
We returned to the Hunsworth after a three week break and what a fantastic improvement! The food was excellent; smothered chicken and club sandwich both were delicious, well presented and enjoyable. The staff as always were pleasant helpful and courteous, we are in our 80’s and this service means a lot to us.
During my business trip to Leeds, I was highly impressed with the breakfast service. Dianne and Kirk provided friendly and efficient service, even going as far as speaking to Chef Mel on my behalf to accommodate my request for souffle Eggs. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience.
